Surveys

Eurosurv International can offer the folowing services

  • Pre-purchase survey: An in depth vessel inspection, including a structural in water and out of water inspection of the hull and stern gear.  Moisture testing, hardness testing, ultrasound thickness measurements or thermal imaging can all be provided upon request.  An integral part of our pre-purchase surveys are the sea trials, which include a full systems test and performance trials.  We can arrange for specialist engine service agents to be present during the sea trials.  The full inspection of the hull and superstructure includes a full systems test of the hotel services and an interior fit-out inspection.
  • MCA code of practice inspections, compliance up to 24 metres: pre-coding visit with a follow up report and final compliance examination. MCA code compliance visits can be carried out during build and on-going liaison with the yard during construction is offered.
  • Insurance and finance house valuations: inspections as part of pre-purchase surveys or for re-finance purposes. We tailor our conclusions to provide a realistic valuation, and our valuations are accepted by all major lending institutions.
  • Damage assessment: inspection of damage and assessment of the condition of the vessel with regard to repair or continued use. We can provide or audit quotations and oversee any repair works to ensure that the safety and standard of the vessel is not compromised.
  • Project management: we are experienced in quality control of new-build and re-fitprojects from conception to delivery. We can assist in deciding upon specifications, materials, equipment and finishes. We plan and undertake regular yard visits, with reports after each visit to both client and yard. A customised construction log is used for each project so that a log of all correspondence is maintained throughout the project.
  • Tonnage surveys: tonnage surveys for numerous flag states including the UK, Cayman Islands, St, Vincent and Grenadines.
  • CE marking: CE marking inspections and consultancy to obtain CE mark for personal watercraft and vessels up to 24M LOA.
  • ISM and IPSP consultancy: vessel inspections and preparation of ISM manuals and port state control paperwork.
  • PDI/Warranty surveys: vessel inspection prior to delivery, which may include acceptance on behalf of the client.  A list of warranty defects would be produced and forwarded to the yacht builders.  Follow up inspections of completed warranty works can be arranged.  This type of survey is essential when buying your new craft and helps protect your investment.

Oil sampling, water sampling, moisture testing, hardness testing, and ultrasound testing services are available where appropriate
